IBR Approved Check Valves for Steam & Boiler Service

Jayant Valves is an IBR approved valve manufacturer in India. Swing, pressure seal and forged check valves can be supplied with IBR certification for boiler feed, steam and condensate lines.

Steam service valves manufactured for boiler applications

Steam valves you can certify

Steam is unforgiving. A check valve on a boiler feed line has to close reliably against thousands of start-stop cycles, and it has to be documented so a boiler inspector can accept it. Jayant Valves' in-house manufacturing processes are approved by the Indian Boiler Board (IBR), and the company supplies IBR certified check valves for these services.

Check valves commonly supplied for boiler and steam lines

Steam and boiler valve materials

Carbon steel (A216 WCB / A105) suits saturated steam and feedwater at moderate temperature, while chrome-moly grades (A217 WC6 / WC9, A182 F11 / F22) are used for superheated steam. Stainless grades are offered where corrosion is the concern.

FAQ

IBR check valve FAQs

What does IBR approval mean for a check valve?

In India, valves fitted to boilers and steam pipelines covered by the Indian Boiler Regulations must be made and certified under IBR. Jayant Valves' manufacturing is approved by the Indian Boiler Board, and IBR certified valves are supplied on request.

Which Jayant check valves can be supplied with IBR certification?

Swing check valves and forged steel valves list IBR certification among their special features. Tell us the IBR requirement in your enquiry so documentation is planned with the order.

Do overseas buyers need IBR?

IBR is an Indian regulation. Overseas buyers usually specify their own codes (for example ASME or PED-related requirements), but many EPC contractors building plants in India for overseas owners still require IBR for boiler-connected valves.
