Engineering notes
In water service the closing behaviour of the check valve matters as much as its pressure rating. Non-slam dual plate designs with high-performance springs and shock bumpers reduce surge; counterweighted or dashpot-damped swing checks are used where controlled closing is needed.
Every Jayant check valve is inspected and tested to API 598, and cast and forged valves to BS EN 12266 Parts 1 & 2.
